bon·sai (bone-sigh) n.
Etymology: Japanese, literally, tray planting; a potted plant (as a tree) dwarfed and trained to an artistic shape by special methods of culture
Also: the art of growing such a plant
Plural: bonsai
I visited Epcot during the Flower & Garden Show, and was pleasantly surprised to find a bonsai exhibit! Trees were displayed around the China pavillion as well as the Japanese pavilion. I've included a couple of pictures that aren't strictly bonsai, but they serve to show you how beautifully the whole exhibit was presented! Unfortunately, because of the natural settings, in some cases there isn't enough contrast between the bonsai and its background to see the tree properly.
