  • Kusamono: Hostas

Here's a little kusamono I am growing this year.... the leaves are starting to unfurl, it's a yellow and green verigated leaf which is purported to have a light purple flower. Should be lovely. I may have to reduce the number of shoots if it looks to crowded soon. But for the moment, it is what it...

  • New, Any help?

Hey there, I'm new here because I would like to learn about Mini Bonsai and would like to grow a few pots myself. I don't know much about it other than I like the looks of it. I have grown plants before in Freshwater Aquariums. I'm pretty good at that, which is a bit time consuming and...

  • Might need to build a new Display?

  • Developing shohin from cut down stock

I have taken them before of the exhibit only to be dissapointed when I get home and view the images. This thread has more to do with a...

  • English Boxwood

Here are a few shots of a box I just worked on. It was in my mom's flower box and she had become tired of it so she let me hack it uphttps://www.bonsaichat.net/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif. The first pic is of the giant root ball that came with it after I removed it from the box. The...

  • Tom Thumb Cotoneaster

I purchased a Tom Thumb Cotoneaster a few weeks ago and potted it up. I think I may have pruned the roots a bit too much. I read that they don't care for much root pruning. Some of the leaves have yellowed, but otherwise it seems okay. Any suggestions with this species? Thanks, J
