It's very frustrating to host a small hobbyist site like this sometimes! I admit that my enthusiasm has waned a bit, and that I haven't spent as much time here as I should, but that's no excuse for the HOURS I've just spent removing hundreds of SPAM posts and hundreds of bogus registrations.

what trees grow best in different climates. I pretty much know most of the areas of the country, but I don't have a clue as to what grows in the Idaho Panhandle, if any of our members live in that area, I would love to see what species survives best there. Since the economy isn't very good right now for us middle class folks, I would like to know where the average BT members are in the hobby. I would like to know how many folks have $1500 to invest in a tree. I know we have a ton of beginners and young people in school that don't have a lot of money...

Well here's my first concrete pot. Hot out of the mold.
The first photo is before the sealant was applied. I left the finish somewhat rough as the tree intended for this pot has a fair amount of deadwood in it and I was hoping to play off that color. It was recommended by the guys in our local club...

Hello: In a related message I mentioned that I have 25 deciduous trees in the Chicago area near the lake which have been leafing out since mid-March. They have never frozen as they were kept between 30 and 35 degrees.
Currently they are indoors to protect from early spring frosts....located near...
