Etymology: Japanese, literally, tray planting; a potted plant (as a tree) dwarfed and trained to an artistic shape by special methods of culture
Also: the art of growing such a plant
I won this ficus (aka Laurel Fig, aka Tigerbark) at our bonsai club meeting in September, 2005! My raffle ticket was the first one drawn, and I selected this pretty tree because it has fruit on it!
