As you can tell, I've returned from my trip to Epcot to see the 2006 Flower & Garden Show. I was pleased to see that during the past year I've learned more about bonsai, and was better able to analyze the trees on display. I was also better prepared to photograph the trees, as I brought along a monopod which I used for the first time (very helpful) and used a UV filter.

I believe I managed to take pictures of all the trees on exhibit; both the Bonsai around the Japan Pavillion and the Penjing around the China Pavillion. Improvements were made this year, at least from a photographer's point of view, in that they placed bamboo mats behind some of the trees. This allowed you to see the tree distinct from its background, which in many cases was more greenery. I also took a number of other pictures of the show, so you could get a better idea of the scope of things.

These are the images direct from my camera (Okay, okay - I DID crop the pictures of the topiary at the entrance/exit to Epcot!), and you have the ability to see them in their full size and detail in the gallery.
