bon·sai (bone-sigh) n.
Etymology: Japanese, literally, tray planting; a potted plant (as a tree) dwarfed and trained to an artistic shape by special methods of culture
Also: the art of growing such a plant
Plural: bonsai
The 2008 Flower & Garden show was a bit of a letdown - there seemed to be far fewer trees this year than in previous years! I took pictures of all that I saw, using a new easier-to-carry camera. While the pictures came out okay, I wasn't able to get the close-ups I've taken before, and so some of the information about the trees may not be available. If I could make out what I thought the sign said, but wasn't sure, I added a question mark in parentheses afterwards. If I couldn't see anything clearly enough to take an educated guess, I left it blank. Sorry!
