Is this a real name or is this the name you applied after it was cut down to a two cute leaves? I am confused.

Heheh! Nope - the name is indeed "Ilex vomitoria" -- the number 2 after that was to differentiate between the two different trees of the same type that I had at the time. As you may have seen elsewhere on the site, one of these died on me... (R.I.P.) and now I only have one.
