Bonsai Bruce's Blog

A blog for those learning to appreciate the art of bonsai.

Exciting Announcements!

I have several exciting announcements!

  • Ashley Carrier, President and Founder of Bonsai Outlet, is writing some articles about bonsai for beginners, and has graciously consented to share those articles with us! It seems to me that the spirit of bonsai people is to share their knowledge, rather than hoard it - a beautiful thing! Bonsai Bruce is extremely excited and can't wait to start publishing Ashley's articles in the Knowledge Base — we should see the first article in a week or two!
  • Eri Takase, Master Calligrapher of Takase Studios, has graciously allowed me to use a piece of her calligraphy as part of our site design. You'll see it below the definition of bonsai on every page!
  • Colin Lewis, Founder and Principal of Hô Yoku School of Bonsai, and noted author of bonsai books, has graciously given me permission to quote his descriptions of bonsai styles.
  • Bonsai Buddy sent a letter to all new bonsai enthusiasts, which explains what bonsai is not!
